"The day starts off like most others. With a nightmare."

I loved that it was set in the middle east and the representation of it. Usually when you have a movie or a book set in a dystopia world it is mostly set in USA or close to it. Such was Pestilence which was set in Canada and the us so this book was a pleasant surprise. I hope the third and fourth book are set in different parts of the world.

The premise of the book became so tiring since it was basically the same book as the first one. That makes me almost not want to continue the series but I really want to read deaths book so I have to continue.

More of a dystopia fantasy with a hint of romance. Or there is romance but I don't care at all for the characters or their love. Still easy to read.

Very much the same as the first one but I still enjoyed it.
I do hope the third and fourth book take on a different path.

Thank you NetGalley! I was so excited going into War after reading Pestilence and I can say I was not disappointed! War met his match when he seen Miriam and takes her fore his wife. I wasn't expecting one of the big events and then the event at the end had me in tears! I can not wait to read Famine.

Thank you NetGalley & Laura Thalassa for the ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’m very split on this book. The whole middle part is utterly confusing. There seems to be no reason for the MCs to fall for each other but they are…

Now the last third of this book was phenomenal! I enjoyed the possessive “wife” usage. I also thought the zombies were a cool twist.

I wish the pacing switched a little to show more of War growing and less of kill everything!

Also I’m sorry the speaking in tongues thing is so funny to me. Like he just spoke gibberish to his army and they all had no clue what he said but were like “yeahhhh!” anyways.

Overall a good read, not my favorite but I’ll definitely read the next!

Also I adore these new covers!
