I'm going to keep reading this series, because I want to see if the characters grow and change (because I like the author), but I really did not like either main protagonist. I really liked the ethical conflicts between the two colony ships and that's what I'm interested in following.

The story was really flat and shallow. It was tense and handled many difficult aspects as losing someone, fertility and religion. However it felt very unrealistic even for scifi book.
