I genuinely hate writing book reviews so please believe me when I say that this is one of the only books that I have loved enough to write about. I re-read this trilogy every few years and it never disappoints. It is terrifying and horrid and magnificent. The mystery and haunting beauty of the world of Area X sticks with me the way few settings do.
Moderate: Body horror and Gore
