slay. there were a lot of quotes in the book that i really liked and i think it was a good telling of the heroes journey. i don’t know what i was expecting but it definitely wasn’t a philosophical quest for treasure. that being said, i thought it had some good lessons to be taught and i’m not surprised so many kids have to read this in school.

re-read this for the first time since high school. i would say it's "fun" - a quick, light-hearted, upbeat read. all of the messages in this book are the same ones you find in disney movies, so don't go in expecting something incredibly deep or life altering

I loved this! It was a nice, cozy, short read for me to keep up with my reading goal! There are lots of cute quotes from this book too. Love it!
