THE BOOK OF ALL TIME !!!!!!! i rlly cant say anything abt this book that hasnt already been said, mr darcy and elizabeth have become the standard the standard for every book couple i encounter from now on. besides this, i absolutely loved lizzy and jane’s bond ! so heartwarming to see. the edition i have had a short biography of jane austen and it said how close her and her sister were, i imagine that this was her inspiration to write the sisterly love in here, which is so <3 overall, a very special and sweet read, the ending is worth the meltdown i had while reading darcy’s first proposal.

One of the foundational slow-burns, I suppose. I’m sure Elizabeth’s ideals were very progressive at the time.

The writing is a product of its time, and I had to constantly adjust to the style and wade through the sheer filler and overstuffed redundancy. Get to the point! When I tried to skim the page, I’d miss an important detail in the bloated fluff and have to reread the passage.

Bruh.

Elizabeth “Lizzie “ had a good head on her shoulders. She was outspoken and not easily shut up. She indirectly made a man work on his social skills and become genuinely pleasant to those around him. He said he got to get right to get with her lol

Honestly, I thought the Elizabeth and Darcy romance was spread thin. I wanted more of them. Her other sisters took up the brunt of the story.

Because of my reading experience, I think watching the movie version(s) would give me a better grasp of the story. This is a firm 3 for me.

Mr Bennet needs his own book. He really just sat there watching the drama unfold laughing at everyone

This is by far the most addicting book I’ve read. Went into this completely blind and loved it wholeheartedly.
