If you’re interested in mental health in any capacity- this is a must read. It’s definitely clear that it was written in the mid-2000s, but so much of it is still so relevant today.

Also just very well written and entertaining!

Brave, honest, exposing - a rare window into the most vulnerable moments of psychosis. Definitely a must read for anyone working in mental health in particular, to remember the system that once did (and sometimes still does) tremendous amounts of harm. Elyn Saks is a testament to the human spirit.
