Really enjoyable read, filled with Latin and Greek and a complicated discussion about slavery. Lawrence conducts it well, explaining everything in a way that’s suitable for children. There are references to violence (death and fighting) that are, again, handled well. Although it is thoroughly researched and historically accurate, it is also relatable to a modern audience through ancient takes on modern things such as chewing gum. All in all, I recommend this!
