This follows Marigold Evans, 27, an author living in the city. At 10 years old, she lost her mother suddenly, and the boy next door was always there to help her through that loss. Cade Jennings was the boy who had my heart but then threw it away. Now it's five years later, and Marigold is returning to the place she once called home and facing the wrath of the boy who stole her heart.

I loved this book, and these two characters had great soul mate energy. The hate and tension between them at the start were fantastic. When they started communicating, yelling, and crying at each other, it’s my kryptonite. To have a love so strong and fighting for it was beautiful. Everything that man did was beautiful. The house, tattoo, and the mouth on Cade were illegal. I’m very excited for the next book as the snippets of Pippa and Camden in the book had me laughing, and I can already feel the tension. Loved this book!
