A cute and quirky witchy romance. This book is a good light read when you want diversion that doesn't require much of an intellectual or emotional investment. It kept me entertained.

The ending however was abrupt. The book felt unfinished and basically ended with a cliffhanger. Just... ugh.

This is a pan for me - First, it was an audiobook and I did not enjoy the narrators interpretation of the story.  Second, I felt like I started reading in the middle of the book - MC Daisy can see ghosts (they are decomposing, body parts falling off)  she doesn't try to find  an  explanation for it and she  continues on with her everyday life.  She finds  out much later she is a ghost counselor and she  comes from a long line of people who do this.  At this point though I am only finishing to finish - I lost interest and did not get it back by the plot which I felt was introduced too late into the story.

I really really enjoyed the first half of this book. I read a lot of YA and it was nice that the MC was 40. Unfortunately she acted like a teenager the second she started dating someone. Which I guess I kind of get she had a strange no sex marriage so I can kind of let her slide.. but the grim freaking reaper also acted like a child with his first crush and he’s immortal. So that I can’t stand. Their conversations were so cringy. Not a fan of it.

But 2 stars because I really did like the first half and I like her “side job”. But I will probably never read anymore of the series.

The narrator on the audiobook's voice was grating and didn't match the main character at all. Also, it is about a 40 year old woman, yet she meets a hunky lawyer who literally does nothing except be handsome and she is so flustered she can't speak. I'm not into reading about teenagers falling in love, and this grown woman is acting like a teenager and it is a big ick.
