The story is so engaging, I was surprised and even disappointed to reach the end and be informed that it would continue in the second book. But the illustrations!! Mesmerizingly beautiful, especially the depiction of nature. I wish I could put some of them in my Reading Journal, like quotes. Anyways, I'm waiting impatiently until I can get my hands on the second part.

Bit of a slow start, but the art was fantastic, if sometimes confusing. A lot of setup for volume 2 but it pays off

The art is pretty but confusing to try and follow in a narrative. In addition, the story itself feels weak and in the whole book, nothing really happened except for the beginning and end.

If my library gets the second volume, I’ll read it, but I’m not going out of my way to finish this.
