This is filled with teenage angst and the idea that people are multilayered. While the premise of the book involves getting a student into trouble that lies heavily on the back burner and instead it reads like a teen romance with a revenge sub plot. Excellent one liners but very angsty.

right, i know i was reading it happened one summer but i randomly found this and remembered that it was originally a wattpad original i read at like 12. i didn't expect to finish it today but the nostalgia man.
i wouldn't say it's necessarily good but it was a fun read cos of the #mems from yr 8. veryyyyy cheesy and a tad cringe but my reading list this year doesn't exactly defend me on that account.
also it's YA so you get what you're given really... which wasn't much

Behind Frenemy Lines is a slow-burn romance which owes a lot to the enemies-to-lovers trope. Erika is a good student, and on her first day back at school is curious as to why the Principal wants to speak to her. When she’s offered a 20,000 dollar ‘reward’ for helping to gather information that will get another student expelled, she is curious as to whose life she will be ruining if she takes up the offer.
Though she’s heard of Chase, she doesn’t really know him. Cue some rather cringeworthy attempts from Erika to get his attention and set up some potentially expulsion-worthy scenarios.
As to be expected, Erika finds herself spending more and more time with Chase. She likes him. She can see he’s a nice guy. So, why is the Principal so keen to exclude him?
As we learn the answer to this question, Chase and Erika learn about each other and how to place their trust in people, even when it leaves you vulnerable.

Enemies to Lovers I'm in! This was awesome! It had all the right amount of sass, lies, honesty, and truth mixed in with friendships and relationships.

I loved all the characters especially Erika and her bouts of sarcasm and wit. Her flirting with Chase was so funny like who even has that.much wit and that many come backs! I was Impressed!

This read was so light hearted and super easy to read so I was flying through the pages and finished it in one day.

I highly recommend this for anyone who loves a bit of teen drama a definite YA fave of mine now!!!
