No this was not good. Read the whole thing cause I was curious how it would come together but it wasn’t fully flushed out, he was too awful to her to make him likable later and the writing was not strong.

This book was way to dramatic for me. There was a lot of drama and angst which usually keeps me interested but I was primarily bored unfortunately. Mascen was a bully to Rory 95% of the book and even with a third act break up there was minimal groveling. It’s just unsatisfying to read tbh. The story line felt drawn out but rushed at the same time. The story kind of centers around the individual character growth but the love interest didn’t connect enough for me. The conflict wasn’t big enough to warrant the length of the book in my opinion. When Rory and Mascen are finally together and happy the book just ends. I think I could’ve gotten over a lot of the book hadn’t ended so abruptly.

Perfect

I loved this story. I love Rory’a relationship with her roommates and I love Mascens relationship with his mom. This was a great book and I’m sad it’s over

at least i am out of my reading slump

yeah so it was a very basic enemies to lovers book for me, but i read a lot of enemies to lovers so i am just saying there isnt anything new to it; it is although very good if you're planning to start reading romance or try and get into this trope.
i dont get any of the characters motives and by this, i mean i dont get for example, how could the hero be so possesive over the heroin... like it's been like what a decate hun yall were 8 and 10 years old when yall last saw each other, there wasnt any WOW romance between yall at that age yall were just besties. sure i mean. i just dont get how was the hero so mad over something that happened 10 years ago, something the heroin could not do anything about.
i kind of dont really get their romance IDK IT WAS AN OK READ.

what i absolutely liked here were the heroins best friends, roomates whatever. I WANT THEM AS MY FRIENDS.
and i also liked that we got to see more of the heros and his dads relationship. i liked how they talked and started solving their life problems.

yeah and i really liked the heroin, she was really motivated to make a future for herself it just made me really happy seeing her stay focused during her collage year!!!

the writing was okkayyy... just a bit repetitive if you ask me.
BUT IT WAS EASY AND FAST AND I ENJOYED READING IT SO ITS FINE.

”I still hate you Princess, but you always have a home with me.” Suddenly the word hate feels different. It feels a lot like…
“I hate you too, Mascen.”

This was…okay. We have childhood friend to enemies to lovers which I usually like…but I felt like it was missing something.

I enjoyed the moments Mascen and Rory had that went back to their childhood and the little cute moments they had. I honestly think the thing that kinda confused me was to why Mascen hated her to begin with. I know what he said it was but it was kinda silly…

Anyway, I did enjoy their moments together. Wasn’t very plot heavy but it was cute. I need a story for Cole now cause my man needs a happy ending of his own.

So I would recommend this to an extent. It was a quick read and did have a few heart felt moments that I really enjoyed.

Happy reading 🤍

This is an angsty read and I enjoyed the story for the most part. It felt new adult, which it is. The audiobook is really good.

My first book by this author.

And it was okay.

There's nothing particularly exciting about the plot and the romance and this book is ultimately forgettable, but while I was reading it, it kept my attention well enough hence the 3-star rating.

I probably would've liked it more a few years ago when I was obsessed with NA.
