It was good enough that I succeeded in reading it.
But not enough to drag me from the reading slump to write another proper review.

Linsey Hall strikes gold again

Like all of Linsey’s books, this one did not disappoint. Can not wait to find out what happens next for Eve and Lachlan!

I barely finished this one. I understand wanting to draw out the suspense and lead into a 3rd book but the last bit of this book I was just annoyed and wanted it to end. It didn't make me want to continue reading the series to find out what happens.

This instalment picks up right where the last one left off which was great, because book one ended so suddenly on a snap shut of an ending. I literally picked this one up straight after. The over arcing story line is carried through and we learn more about the characters as they battle to fight a mad man and figure out who the hell is hunting Eve.

I will be continuing with this series as I'm curious to learn more about the shifter who cannot shift.

I loved the tension that was building for the first book, didn’t mind lack of spice cause the push and pull between mates was driving the reader forward. This book lagged, it was exactly as the first, slow paced to the point of being uninteresting. They have to keep doing the same traveling from one side to the other to keep gathering info but there is no character developing throughout the story. Lack of spice in the second book felt too thinned out. Not planning on continuation.

DNF. Way too fast. Especially on the action. Everything was way too easy when it came to finding answers. Heroine barely has to try. "Romance" was so slow that I found I didn't care about them as a couple/ believe their chemistry. Dialogue wasnt natural in some places.
