One great thing about Future State, it looks like DC is letting some new voices take a crack at these characters. I'm seeing quite a few names I've never seen before doing the writing and the art.

This is actually the book I'm the most excited to read more of! Not just because it's a Dick that sounds more like the Nightwing I know and love. Not just because I love Emiko Queen and can't wait to read more of her. Not just because there's a new African American bat character I've never seen or heard of before. I like the character dynamics in this book a lot and that's what made me enjoy this a lot.

Also, there's a lot of rumors that Red X is my favorite character and I'm excited to see if that's true. I know it's blasphemy, but I didn't watch the cartoon Teen Titans and apparently that's where Red X was introduced. He makes a point of saying "Red X used to stand for something" and I have no frame of reference for what that is.

However, this is the only Future State comic I've read thus far that has the art, the character work AND the story that excites me the most, so I'm really looking forward to the next part.
