Wowed by royals!
This book was pretty good where I was sucked in by all the drama and twists! I hated it then I loved it! The hero was such a jerk and I about quit reading but as I read further I discovered why he behaved the way he did. The heroine was put in a tough position for her country but she was strong and I was blown away by H/h chemistry.

What a mess. I was kinda intrigued with kingdom situation but both Edan and Luka are so unlikable.

Arranged marriage is one of my favorite types of story, royal romance is another, combined made this book a must read for me. I love jerks so having Luka being one was the cherry on top, the angst and tension between Eden and Luka was amazing, all the suspense surrounded in the story. I just loved the story so much. can't wait for more books in the series.

I've been kind of over romance novels BUT Willow Aster has blown me away and reminded me why I love a good Romance so much! Everything about this book is perfect...the writing, the characters, the angst and the passion. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Utterly captivating. It is angsty and emotional and held me to the pages. This was my first book by this author and it definitely won't be my last. I fell for these characters and fell hard, even when I wanted to yell at them. I am so looking forward to seeing what will be next from this author.

I read this book in one sitting. It isn't your typical Willow Aster book, it is a new direction for her and I am loving it. Even with the new direction though, there are elements of the book that are so Willow. She has such a way with words and I absolutely love her writing. Now that I have calmed down from the excessive angst and heart palpitations, I am able to write this review. First of all, Luka was a jerk. I wanted to punch him so many times in the face that I lost count. While I understand all the things he did and why he did them, I still didn't like him at the end of the book. The real kicker is that Luka is what kept me reading. He is the reason I didn't put this book down. I wanted to see why he was doing all of the things he was doing. I never knew who to trust and that kept me reading for more and more. I can't wait to read more books in this series! I am so excited! ANGST LEVEL HIGH.

I have been anticipating this read for a while I adore Willows writing. Downfall is full of romance, angst, heartbreak and more! It is definitely a must read for anyone, You will fall in love with this story I promise. I had high hope for this read and it did not disappoint. You are drawn in right from the start, Luka and Edens story has a way of making you feel so much all at once. It’s a top read for sure.

Normally I can take or leave the royal trope in romance. I’ve read some great ones and some not so great ones. But when I saw Willow Aster was publishing one, I had to have it. This one, however, falls more into the in between of take it or leave it.
While the angst was off the charts high, the story seemed to lack the smooth flow I’ve come to expect from this author. Some parts just seemed like they were rushed. And while it did take away from the story a bit, the characters themselves were well-written and I felt their emotions.
I’m looking forward to the next installment in this new series. The drama, angst, and betrayal made this book worth reading.
