Good intro to Miss Marple.
Spoiler
Though the suspect was obvious, the method was surprising to me.chkrato's review against another edition

I had to read this as my book club is practically named Tuesday Night Book Club. I have always wanted a creative name, but when I saw an Agatha Christie short story titles The Tuesday Night Club, I thought I might be able to give our bc a purposeful name.
A group is gathered at Miss Marpleās on a Tuesday discussing the topic of unsolved mysteries, when they decide to meet once a week and present a problem for the others to solve.
Three people have dinner, all become ill, but only the wife dies. What seemed a food poisoning is ruled a murder. Who did it? Aunt Miss Marple, who debuts in this short story, figures it out!
Alas, this short story is entertaining but dated or maybe too British for this American to have figured out. There is a term in which the murder revolves, that was not known to me. Without that knowledge, it would be hard to solve on your own.
I love to suss out the answer or riddle as I am reading, so was left unsatisfied here.
