I grew up in Chicago. I found the descriptions of politics in Chicago to be very good. Reading of the coal tunnels was very interesting. I'm not certain how many people are aware of them. There wasn't as much zombie action as I like in a Zbook but when it was there it was creepy. I do think Zombie Indiana and Zombie Ohio were better as far as zombie action went. I would like to see the rest of the states represented. Each state has things that make it and its residents unique. I think Scott Kenemore could bring that into Zbooks from every state. I'm hoping for more.

Zombies and Chicago politics mix in this story. It was interesting and I got invested in the characters.

I found the way the author writes his various perspectives to be annoying/distracting. About 3 pages into the book I had to Google the author to verify he was a white man because he definitely wrote with that feeling. The premise of the book itself isn’t bad, but the how the POV is written bothered me
