Iiiii don't know - I teetered between three or two stars officially but settled on two.

It's inoffensive, there's nothing wrong with the writing itself in my book. Most of the characters are intolerable but that's just my personal taste.

Just average at the end of the day. Oddly enough, the ~twist ending felt less impactful or interesting than some of the earlier red herrings set out.

Meh. Jumped around between so many character viewpoints I had whiplash. Ella is on the train when she sees two teenage girls strike up a conversation with two guys straight out of prison. One of the girls ends up missing the next day and Ella is upset with herself for not calling the authorities with her concern. I just didn’t find realistic that anyone would interfere over something like that. The jumping around between all of the viewpoints made it so that you couldn’t really delve into any of the characters to deeply so several questions were not answered. And the ending came so far out of left field it was implausible. Not a terrible read, but it could’ve been so much better.

I'm not a fan of books that don't leave a bread crumb for you to figure out who done it. You can't just pick a random person because you run out of time and then tie it up in a bow as to why they did it. Where is the foreshadowing?

I liked it up until the end, the resolution and reasoning. That just felt random to me

I loved the thrilling, mystery part to this book. From page one I was hooked. Toward the middle, and ending, there was little clues to figure out what happened to the missing girl. I was disappointed in the ending, but good quick thriller read.

This was a book we voted on in my book club and it was honestly not that bad. I did get confused with how much it jumps around. But the ending gets good! Lots of twists.

3.5 stars. It held my attention and I felt compelled to keep reading, but it had aspects that really bothered me.

This had me gripped from beginning to end. What has happened to Anna? What is everyone hiding?

Very well written as the end of each chapter makes you want to keep reading more. It's from different viewpoints as there's so much mystery around everyones own personal turmoil that I ended up suspecting quite a few of the characters.

I really didn't expect it to be the person that it was and would never have guessed it was them.
