Novellas sometimes are a little pointless. This one proves it. Got hardly anything out of this.

Honestly this was everything I was hoping for and more. It was so great to get some insight into Magnus' daily life and his developing relationship with Alec. This book had a whole lot of humor, a good dose of and even a little drama. Plus appearances from favorites from both the TMI and TID characters.

SpoilerAlec kissed him back with shattering enthusiasm, and Magnus thought, Yes, this one fits, after all the stumbling around and searching, here it is.

This about killed me because it shows how much Magnus truly loves Alec. Also another thing is right after this I love how Magnus' insecurities pop up about their relationship. It bugs me because fanfiction authors often focus on Alec's insecurities and it's nice to see some focus on Magnus'. Plus HOW SWEET/GUSHWORTHY IS THAT WHOLE QUOTE?!!

Also Alec is super endearing throughout this story. Which I really enjoyed.

If you are a fan of either Magnus or Magnus/Alec I highly recommend you read this.

Raphael is so hilarious in this book! Hahaha! I just love the 'relationship' between him and Magnus. Haha! I can so imagine a troubled Magnus Bane pestering his friends Ragnor Fell and Catarina about what to buy Alec for his birthday. Haha!

My fave quotes from the book:

"He hadn't stopped wanting love. He had simply, somehow, stopped looking."

"I am not intense. I am laissez-faire. I am a jaded sophisticate."

"I cannot believe that I have spent a whole day watching slime rise for no reason at all."

"...his pants were tight because he felt a responsibility to the world to be gorgeous, but it meant there was not a lot of room in the pocket region."

And can I just say, Elyaas the cecaelia demon was so adorbs! Hahahaha! I wanna see him in the movie XD

A solid story, not as exciting as the others...but still good.
