First time listening to the audiobook and it was brilliant! This was also the second time “reading” this book after it was first released in 2009 (13 years later!) and was still amazing! Looking forward to listening to the whole saga again!
This series is definitely an evolution of C S Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia! Amazing allegory with great theology behind it that brings Biblical stories and themes to life in a new light.

Really enjoyed seeing how the "beginning" tied into the "end" of this story.

I'M NOT CRYING; YOU'RE CRYING. Seriously. This whole series is phenomenal. All of my emotions were plucked. I legit cried in some places. I love thrillers, and I'm starting to get into fantasy, so this was a *great* combo series for me.

Like when I knew Samuel was coming and Chalise was going to die!!! I kept saying "oh no" on my run while listening to the audio book, and I'm sure people thought I had hurt myself.afdefender's review against another edition

The first three books were some of my all-time favorite books, but I was disappointed with this one. It felt like Ted rushed this one to press.

The series should have ended with White. Green took the story to weird, unnecessary places in order to make it a "Circle."

How does one go about writing a book that is the beginning and the end? I'll never know how [a:Ted Dekker|1441|Ted Dekker|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1201095936p2/1441.jpg] has accomplished this but I'm very excited about this book! This is my first read by Mr. Dekker and most certainly not my last! I love his writing style and how he has entertwined several books together. I may be mistaken but I'm thinking that the Lost History books play a part in the Circle series.

As mentioned, I've not read anything by Dekker before. I found it very hard to put this book down...after the first 15 chapters or so. The beginning I found to be very difficult to get into. There was something missing...maybe something in the Lost History books, I'm not sure. I was getting the impression that some of the characters where mentioned in other books. However, the characters are very well developed and once I really got into the story, I forgot what I didn't think I knew anymore.
There were many parallels between the Bible and the instances in this book. Thomas's clan "drowns" themselves in a river of blood...symbolic of a baptism of immersion. One dies to Christ and His blood covers them. I'm not sure how the vampire in the book fits into Biblical parallellism but it was a cool touch!
Would I recommend this book? You bet. Run out and buy it NOW! Whether you read it first or last, it's a great read. I might have to re-read it after reading the other books in this series. I've never read anything like it before!

Al fin termine está tetralogía
Está vez no hay resumen porque creo que con cualquier comentario haría un spoiler, principalmente porque este no es el libro 4, sino el 0. Es decir que este es el comienzo de todo, pese a ser la continuación del tercero. Lo sé, es confuso
Es una historia cíclica, primer problema, no soy muy fan de los viajes en el tiempo que resultan ser circulares.... aunque creo que ésta saga no lo trabajo tan mal
No pude conseguir todas las respuestas que quería, pero esto se debe a todo el tema religioso que toca la historia, y como en la religión no puedo esperar tener todas las respuestas
Creo que todo el sistema de magia planteado en los anteriores libros se van al tacho con éste, principalmente porqué ya teníamos un final, y ya para este libro todo se volvió demasiado repetitivo, y todo lo que se supone debería sorprenderme me pareció demasiado forzado.
La saga en general es bastante repetitiva, principalmente cuando se trata de su religión, pero con este libro no solo pasaba esto, sino también hubieron algunas cosas demasiado sacadas de la manga, como la nueva variedad Raison, o el nuevo modo de viajar en el tiempo, y también la resolución final que conecta este libro con el primero.
Puntos a favor, Ted Dekker logro cerrar muy bien la historia de varios personajes que creí perdidos en el primer libro, no por nada es el libro 0, toda esa información me sorprendió bastante
Los personajes, se nota toda la evolución de los mismos desde que aparecieron hasta este libro y creo que les dió un buen final a todos (exceptuando a los nuevos personajes, los sentí demasiado planos y me daba igual lo que les pasara)
Eso me lleva a mi mayor problema con el libro, no se que rayos paso con todos los demás personajes!!! Simplemente el libro se detiene en el final de Thomas, y solo podemos deducir lo que pasó con los demás, odio que me hagan ésto....o sea, no está mal, pero yo lo detesto
Bueno, ya basta de hate, es una buena saga en general, no es de mis favoritos ni tampoco de las peores, solo meh....si les gustan las historias con trasfondo religioso, viajes en el tiempo y un virus que podría acabar con el mundo, está saga es para ustedes. Yo me quedo con una bonita/extraña experiencia y ya

Aun no termino la saga pero es ceirto que este libro puede servir de principio y de fin. Lo lei antes de empezar con Negro y pues me aprecio mas digerible todo el mundo que presentaba negro pues conocia ya los personajes y en que se basaba el cambio de realidades. Pero pienso que de cierta forma tambein da muchos Spolilers sobre los personajes que quedarian al final de la saga y que pasaria con otros. No quiero revelar especificamente algunos datos para no generar yo los spoilers.
