"Read as many books as you can. Choose courage over caution. Take time to visit libraries. Look for light in the darkness. Have faith in yourself. Know that love is what matters most."
- from the Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman

I couldn’t get into the story. This was my second attempt to read.

I liked it, and it resolved the series well. But I just don't think this writing style is for me. So many sub-stories and rambling and I was constantly lost in the plot.

"The Book of Magic" is a whirlwind of a story; it begins with a death and ends with new life. The final installment of the Practical Magic series really highlighted all different forms of love and the pain that inevitably comes with it. Alice Hoffman gives the Owens sisters the send off they deserve, and I can already see myself delving into this book again and again. Though her pacing has a tendency to ramble, I was still captivated with every word. There were times I was on the edge of my seat, and times that made me gush with happiness. I laughed, I cried, and by the time the final page brushed my fingers, I read on in bittersweetness, wishing the story would never end. I truly do not believe there will ever be a story as brilliant and complex as the Practical Magic series, and I could not recommend it enough. It's an ideal book for adults who love to read about powerful women, and the love that unties them. It's perfect for those who love to read about magic and loss.

Much as with the rest of this series, I'll be falling in love with the Owens family whenever I can. ❤︎
