I had such high hopes when I started. And with each encounter, I was hoping the book would take the leap to the next level. But I was disappointed again and again. The MC is utterly incompetent. It's shocking that he doesn't die on the first encounter. And shocking that he doesn't kill everyone that tries to help him.
