live laugh love Emily Henry multiverse.

this one was a love letter to older sisters, New York City and tall queens (and books as usual).

I loved the characters, both the sceneries (big city and small town).

I loved the "adult who doesn't want kids but loves their nieces or nephews" rep even tho I do want kids in the future (very far away future šŸ§šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø). but I just think that there's this pressure for people (specially women) to have kids and to want kids. people deserve that choice. so I loved that in this book.

it also made me wanna live in New York City even if just for a bit (I've always wanted to visit, but living in the US sounds terrifying tbh).

aaaaand the older sister part was so relatable (except for the orphan part) I actually cried so many times during those parts. I have no idea if Emily Henry even has siblings but I feel like she's either definitely an older sister or she did her research VERY VERY well.

ALSOOOO, the beach read references šŸ˜ā¤ļø I need a book where all the characters meet and become best friends and it can be 500+ pages of just them talking and I would EAT IT UP. okay no but seriously I need them to becomes friends. PLS EMILY.

New Yorker Nora a workaholic literary agent has been dragged to a small town by her free spirited, heavily pregnant sister,Ā  to relax and complete a we arenā€™t dying ā€œbucket listā€. But of course she runs into her nemesis editor Charlie and his snarky ā€œIā€™m too goodā€ vibe and well now she canā€™t get away from him.Ā

So now sheā€™s stuck in a tiny town, with a ridiculous to do list, her sister is acting weird and sheā€™s having to converse with the man who was at first annoying and now is annoyingly becoming more and more enjoyable to be around (god damn it!)

This is my first Emily Henry read and I really enjoyed it.Ā
Number 1. we have an FMC that doesnā€™t make stupid life choices or act like and idiot with weird obsessions in order to create plot.Ā
Number 2. The Nora and Charlie banter is ā€œchefs kissā€ and their interactions seem to develop naturally and realistically.Ā
Number 3. The town sounds like a hilarious almost Gilmore Girls-esque set up with quirky residents to boot.Ā
And finally our 3rd act drama is a realistic life choice that Iā€™m completely and utterly here for!Ā

Oh and how could I forgetā€¦ Bigfoot erotica šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

nora & charlie's relationship development and the way they are so mature and supportive with each other made me really like this book, as well as, the concept behind their characters. it made me feel very seen + i will always adore the way emily henry writes her novels so detailed and sophisticated yet simples <3

p.s.: also loved the fact she included a little guide at the very end!!
