My favorite, so far, from this author! I loved how the romance developed between the main characters, where there wasn't as much enemies to lovers as in other books. The secondary characters were sweet, funny, and supportive with their own stories that fortunately did not subtract from the main plot. Everything blended together so well. I was excited that I predicted how the resolution would come together and it was so fun to read how sweetly it played out.

WOW. Amazing, fluid writing, some of the wittiest, snappiest dialogue I’ve read in a long time, at once hilarious and devastating. Nora and Charlie’s chemistry is incredible (although I’d describe them as less enemies-to-lovers and more annoyances-to-lovers imo) and Nora in particular is so relatable in the way that she deals with her grief and anxiety. The supporting cast is also great, and I LOVE the exploration of Nora and Libby’s bond as sisters who love each other so much but both want slightly different things and struggle to communicate that. Just like Nora and her favourite books, I didn’t want this one to end!

“That's life. You're always making decisions, taking paths that lead you away from the rest before you can see where they end. Maybe That's why we as a species love stories so much. All those chances for do-overs, opportunities to live the lives we'll never have. “

Another lovely escapist novel by Emily Henry. I’ll never not read her stories. The laughs, the tears, the witty and flirty banter between characters. It is everything I want and need from novels.

This was my second attempt at the Emily Henry hype and I am so glad I liked this one! It did help more that it's dislike-to-love which is a trope I prefer. I really liked the characters of Charlie and the sister Libby. And I liked some of the plot! I think I've found that some things with Emily Henry's writing don't vibe as well for me.
- I find her FMCs pretty unlikeable... and dense? At least the two I have read. While her MMCs seem to be based on real people and are likeable, it's a strange contrast.
- I don't like some of the metaphors and descriptions. I'm still puzzled with the description that she could 'feel his laugh in her stomach'??? There were others that had me making faces or pausing while I read.

And for this book, the epilogue felt like it was written by another person or character and it was kind of odd. Could have done without. It took away from the ending for me.

Anyways I swear I did like this book quite a bit 😅
