Not only is the writing in this book amazing and full of wonderful images but also the content is so important! Ava Homa is an incredible storyteller and she tells the story of those who are often overheard.

This is such a painful and important book. It couldn't feel more important with what is happening in Iran at the moment but what is clear from the book, is that this has always been happening in Iran and especially to Kurdish people. It's positive it's finally being brought to light. This is a really difficult read but so beautiful and hopeful at the same time.
