Before this re-read, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this “Slaughterhouse-five” retelling about teenage boys and bugs who only want to do two things. But it’s still the best. Still five stars. Still so close to my heart. So it goes.

One of my favourite books of all time. Amazing coming of age. The prose is weird and unique. It’s often gross but real life is too.

This book is more about generational legacy, trauma and healing. Cultural pride. Coming of age. Queerness etc than it is about the rabid grasshoppers

If you like weird, subversive but hilarious books this is for you.

This book was a trip. I really like reading weird books, so this was pretty enjoyable. I also am a bit of a fan of the humor in this book but I know that it really isn't for everyone. The book was also somewhat repetitive but it was like the gimmick being used, so it worked for the most part.
