Just finished 'Forking Around' by @erinnicholasbooks and now I'm up to book 3 of Hot Cakes Making Whoopie!

Forking Around gave me everything I wanted and needed after the perfect love story between Zoe and Adrian in Sugarcoated!

Dax Marshall is the type of guy you want trying to woo you and sweep you off your feet! The bean bags and gummy bears hint heavily at his playful side but Dax is multilayered and ultimately just wants to make his people happy.

Jane is fiercely independent, content with her hand in life (for the most part) and just wants to go to work, work, and go home, no complications. She wears her heart on her sleeve and she'll stick her neck out for her friends and family, all while carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.

Dax walks into her world and completely flips it upside down. And against all reasoning and logic, these two polar opposites are drawn together like magnets.

Erin is an amazing author!! She captures the personalities of her characters in such a perfect way, the dialogue is so realistic and I can imagine myself having these conversations

Small town romcom!

I loved Dax and Jane’s story! Sweet, funny, hot small town romcom all my fave things. Their banter was one of my favorite part of the story. The narration was amazing. Lili Valente and Jason Clarke were the perfect match to bring Dax and Jane to life! This is a must listen story and series, it will leave you with a smile.

Sooo soo good! I absolutely love this book. Erin continually out does herself, not only with the story and characters but also with the fun, **wink wink** Jane has enough on her plate, her father is in a nursing home, her sister doesn’t get along with her stepmother and stepsister and to top it off Her coworkers depending on her. Dax is the complete opposite, he is fun loving and never met an idea that he couldn’t bring to life. This is an awesome opposites attract fun loving small town romance book. I am loving being in Appleby, Iowa.

Another sweet (but not overly so) book in the Hot Cakes series. Not only was this book hot, but it totally woke up my sweet tooth. Jane is this strong, independent woman who is carrying so much stress and pressure around with her. This was relatable to me in certain ways, especially her struggles with a family member’s health. And she does her best to help everyone without asking for anyone’s help in return.

Enter Dax. At first glance, Dax is a light-hearted goofball. But deep down, he is always doing his best to help people. To make them happy. And he is also super friendly, whether it’s bantering with Jane’s friend Max, dealing with catty teenagers, or working with seniors at a nursing home, Dax is always kind and respectful. And he treats everyone with dignity. He may come off as immature, but he loves hard. He give the term “hero” new meaning.

I enjoyed every second of this book. And the narrators really brought the characters to life, as they always do. I highly recommend this series so far.

Forking Around is a workplace, opposites-attract romantic comedy that can be read as a standalone or as the second book in the Hot Cakes series. Jane has too much on her plate with her family to change anything in her daily routine, especially a fling with her new boss Dax Marshall. Dax is a fun-loving charmer who has been shocked by a red-headed, strawberry loving beauty who seems to be immune to his I-can-charm-anyone persona. Dax and Jane are both determined to make the other see that they are both able to change and still have a happily ever after. Forking Around was another great read by Erin Nicholas that had both emotional and laughter tears in my eyes. I felt sorry for Jane and the fact she felt like she could not have her own life because of her family issues. I fell in love with Dax and his charming, have fun and love life attitude. This is my favourite book of the series so far and can not wait for Making Whoopie for Grant and Josie's story.
