This was a cute, fun story that at times pulled at the heartstrings and definitely made my stomach grumble. Easy read that left me with a smile.

This is a soft DNF. I’m deep into historical romance at the moment-

I liked the story but wasn't blown away. There were a lot of small side stories that didn't really contribute to the bigger storyline and it was a bit boring. The writing also felt a bit basic, on par with the quality of my mediocre reviews. On the other hand, I'm all for stories centered around a Muslim woman and her family.

I wish this book had all the other perspectives like the author’s previous book. I think it really would have fleshed out the characters.

Also, how on earth did Aydin not figure it out earlier? If you’ve listened to someone for years, how could you not match it up in person?!

everything abt this book was so perfect. hanaan khan is the most relatable main character i have ever read about. aydin is perfection n i honestly dk if i can wait another 9 years before i meet my own. but most importantly i loved the representation in this book, like ive never felt more seen before and everything was js so relatable. i also love how this is one of the best love stories ive ever read and we never got a kiss scene nor even a hug, just goes to prove how romance is better when its not shown purely through physical intimacy!
