Very different to my usual read. Took a while to get into it, then I did get hooked and then it took a drastic turn and lost me again. Still kept me reading but wasn't anything like what I was expecting.

The first half of this was a decent enough (if not as good as its predecessor) spy thriller. The second half was an absolute mess. I have no idea how this got past the editorial process, but it’s a pity it did.

As a lot of commenters say, the twist in part 4 is very strange but all the same I think it works. It is very out of place in the whole concept of the novel itself but I like it. Made the last part more engaging than the rest of the book.
