E aquele plot twist no final!!
Recomendo!!

I've struggled with what to rate this book. I think I'm landing at 3.5 stars? I almost gave it three for that ending that wasn't an ending, just the mid-point of a book, but I really enjoyed it up until that point, so... It's hard to really know what to say about it because most of the balls are still up in the air being juggled. I'm looking forward to later this year when I finally get to read the rest.

This was a perfectly curated book with an unique, imaginative world. I loved the infuriating slowburn between the two main characters and I know the wait will be made worthwhile. I wholly enjoyed the constant shroud of mystery and secrecy the author managed to achieve.

All I will say is that it is a pretty chunky book with equally as long sequels so have some sustenance handy.

Fast paced book, loved the superhero element and a good first book in a series. Made me want to read the rest.

Will there ever be a Marissa Meyer book that I won't enjoy? Probably not. I really loved this. It did take a while to get through just because I was listening to the audiobook and that thing is like 14 hrs long lol BUT I feel like if I had read the actual book I could've gotten through it a bit quicker.
I really enjoyed this interesting point of view of a "villain" even though when you're reading this she calls herself a villain but really that's just how she was raised, it's what she grew up thinking was right due to her experiences. I really like how it shows how flawed something can be no matter how good the intentions were.
