It’s not what I expected, yet I came away crushed, thrilled and elated! Such a beautiful tragedy.

Let me warm you right off the bat. Tissues lots and lots of tissues. This one has me in tears pretty much through the whole book. Erin did such an amazing job writing this one. Crow is at the warehouse he goes to every year on the anniversary of his son's death. But tonight he meets a very special person who changes his way of thinking. But will it be enough to save him? She is going through her own terror, her own life struggles. Will Crow be able to save her and prove that she is beautiful inside and out? This storyline was breath taking heart wrenching tears. I absolutely loved these two together. Just amazing. Highly recommend reading this one. Erin blew me away with this one.

It has taken hours since I finished this story for me to be able to sit down and write this review. There is no way I can do this book justice. I read and listen to a lot of books and this has to be the most emotional stories I know of. I DON’T LIKE TO PUT SPOILERS IN REVIEWS BUT I HAD TO IN THIS ONE SO BE ADVISED.

Crow is not the stereotype biker. He is made up of a different type person that what I expect from a biker. There have been plenty of bikers who go soft for a woman and family but not faced with these issues. He doesn’t quite have the hardness of a biker. He is more the dad everyone wants. He is also the guy that things just don’t seem fair. His relationship with women doesn’t seem to go right until he meets Lyric. She is totally different from other women he has known. She is suffering with her own issues. Together they seem to fit. This turns out not to be you HEA or even HFN type story. I think the author did a great job in pointing out that Crow had so many people who cared about him. He had formed so many relationships but he was missing the one thing that was his heart. I liked the secondary characters. Some were from previous stories and I enjoy when I feel like old characters are involved in ongoing stories because it gives me a feeling of familiarity. This author does an excellent job with her stories having such relatable characters even though I have never been involved in any motorcycle gangs. She also did an outstanding job of making me cry through more than a few parts of this book. The ending, I feel is perfect even though I was in tears for awhile. As always I look forward to her next story, or maybe after this one I’m not sure my emotions can handle it.

I knew when I first started to read this book it was going to be totally different from the others in a sense that crow didn't have that hardened crust to him like Smokey, draven or ruger. Lyric was amazing, she was brought in to her own with crow guiding her along the way. Removing her self doubt and building her up to be a stronger person. But this book although it prepares you in a way for the end result it still shreds you heart into tiny pieces when it happens. Amazingly written touching many hard subjects which will break you side open but unable to stop reading. Totally loved this book even though it touched me a little close to home on many issues to covered.
