I loved this but I would never recommend it to anyone 😅 it is *so incredibly cheesy*

There are spelling/editing errors. I hated the nicknames. I would go NC with the mom SO FAST. Still- I loved it and will be reading the rest of the series 🤣

This series is so dang cute!!

Joy is the opposite of her name. Always cold. Always calculated. Fiercely independent. Never letting her guard down. Because that’s how you get hurt. And she is the one of the leading pathologists in the country, and one of the brightest minds, she doesn’t have time for drama. But, after her second relationship goes to hell, she gets a call that there is a family emergency, drops her whole life and research to go across the country to stay in Loverly Cave. She stops at a bar on her way in, realizing she has no where to stay for the night, when the sexiest Viking enters the bar and rocks her world.

Jacob left his old life behind 5 years ago, and settled in Loverly Cave, loving the people and the laid back surf and hiking vibes. He wasn’t planning on going to the bar that night, but the moment he walked in he couldn’t stop himself from walking to her. Talking to her. That grumpy woman who scowls at him is the biggest turn on, and he can’t wait to introduce everyone to his future wife.

This book is so much better than the first book! I really liked both Joy and Jacob’s characters and the reverse grumpy x sunshine thing they had going on was both adorable and hilarious. Also, the dirty talk and spicy scenes in this book are a great improvement. There were some pretty shocking plot twists and a lot of both funny and sweet interactions between the two MC’s. Joy’s mom is still super annoying and the nosey townspeople are a little over the top but overall this was a pretty good book and I am excited for the third one of the series!

This was a really cute, small beach town, reverse grumpy x sunshine, fake engagement!

Joy, (ironically) is a pathologist with with many honors and works at a university along with her boyfriend, Justin. They are at an awards ceremony when she finds out he's married, and she's been his mistress these last few years.

Her mom calls her in a panic, telling her to move home because dad has cancer and it's not looking good. She's not loving she had to come to this little weird town and goes to have a drink at the bar. Super hot, qwirky, viking man sits next to her, they chat, and have a one night stand. Why not? Not like she's going to be here long...

Well, plans change and Jacob is set on making this grumpy woman his and she is dead set on not letting Jacob become her fix.

I've never read a reverse grumpy sunshine before and found it refreshing. I liked Jacob's backstory once we got to know it. There's a big twist that turns everything around. I was interested in the story before the twist, but it really picked up for me and I really started to enjoy it once that part in the story happened. Jacob is really sweet and a lot of fun, and Joy's parents are insane. There was a lot of humor and overall it was really fun and enjoyable.

Jacob. Jackie. Viking. Ducky. Sweet Hippie man full of life and joy. Literally and figuratively.

Joy. Grumpy. Sarcastic. Workaholic. Hides feelings. Boo. Wildfire.

JJ were complete opposites and oh so PERFECT.

Jacob is such a cinnamon roll and a golden retriever. Sweet on the streets. FREAK IN THE SHEETS.

“And here I thought I was more of a golden retriever. Friendly, funny, and loyal to a fault. Oh, and they are also such cuties.”

Joy and her sarcastic mouth would make me laugh out loud. She knew how to dish it out and her internal dialogue was hilarious.

“My vagina screams, With his cock? Twenty-four-seven, please! Shutting the whore up, I switch my mind to the previous conversation.”

I absolutely adore Jacob. He is my Book boyfriend. He is such a bright rubber ducky that slowly breaks down Joys perfectly crafted grumpy non smiling personality. He shows her how she should be loved. How she has always deserved to be worshiped and desired.

This was a super sweet, funny, and HOT second book in the Loverly Cave series. I can not wait for Luke and Grace. I believe Luke might be something else.

Daisy my friend you wrote this beautifully and with the right amount of everything! Can’t wait for others to enjoy this. Because you will!
