Frustrating but I could not put it down. I was here for the messy drama.

Never had a mor unlikable lead hero. It was steamy. That was good but I found nothing to root for in this couple sadly

This book was a miss for me.
It focused too much on sex and her overweight insecurities rather than building true connection between the Main characters.
Also, it really bugs me when stuff in Spanish is written incorrectly. I’d rather read the entire book in English but it being correct.

Example
- Crees que me conoces tan bien
- si lo se

According to the book “si lo se” is “I do” but no.
“Si lo se” means “yes, I know”

I'm still not very versed in romance. But, dang! I've never read a book like this. 😅 It hit hard and it hit fast and I mean that exactly how it sounds. 🥵🔥

I have a love hate relationship with Block Shot. First off, I didn't like the male main character, Jared.  I think he was accurately written for a white privileged male but there was nothing about him that was attractive to me. 🫣😅🤷🏽‍♀️ I also DESPISE some of the decisions Banner. (‼️ SLIGHT SPOILER: I hate the cheating trope. Your girl has been cheated on & I don't want to read about it's justifications. Ever. So, yes, it's a personal problem).

That said, Kennedy Ryan is still queen of the genre. I think she can write chemistry and emotions better than anyone out there. 🫶🏼 The smut was top notch and though I wasn't necessarily a fan of the fmc or the mmc, they had great character development and were well written.

Like ALL of the books I read - if you're going to pick this one up, make sure to check the trigger/content warnings!
