This book was very simple and gave only the very basic information. I was disappointed that it didn’t include more personal experience.

We absolutely love the cover. It is perfect for the story behind and throws you right back to these horrible times. By the way, it's also hiding a gorgeous design under the dust jacket.

The author's writing style is easy to follow and quite suitable to introduce some really bad history to our younger readers. With this book, we went on an emotional roller-coaster. It is full of love and hope, even through those fearful times which were haunted by starvation, slavery, and the loss of family and friends.

Rena Finder is a remarkable woman. A survivor who deserves everyone's respect for being so strong and keeping her pure heart.

We can definitely recommend this book to young readers and adults alike.

Een mooi geschreven verhaal over een Joods meisje in de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Verschillende kampen, ghetto's, en toen Oscar Schindler. Ik vond het erg interessant om te lezen!

Pretty good; veers a little too far into heavily didactic territory by the end. Which I understand, but also did not want.

This was a great read to learn more about what the victims and survivors during the Holocaust endured. Rena Finder is one among many of the brave survivors who shares her story to fight anti-Semitism. It’s a cry to tell people to help others when you see its needed. “You don’t have to love everyone, but everyone deserves to be treated fairly.”

This was a fast read and a book that was hard to put down. I read it in about two hours.
It was interesting with a matter of fact and honest tone.
It is heartbreaking and imaginable what happened.
