I found this book so boring. I really don’t think the story, as it was plotted, worked in a graphic novel. It wasn’t clear at times, and at others it just felt like it was dragging along. I would be surprised if a teen enjoyed this.

What an indomitable spirit! So amazing how much Charlotte accomplished before she died at 39.

The introduction by Alison Bechdel was interesting. Fawkes certainly has talent at conveying emotion through such simple figures. A worthwhile biography for all lovers of the Brontë sisters.

Charming! The panels and dialogue in-scene were lovely to experience, and although a majority of lines are indeed of the author's own invention, the spirit of the Brontes was very much honored.
