I think I found myself liking Sci-fi horror because space is scary and the thought

was terrifying but this story was just too weird for me.
There is something to say about fan culture and panicked mobs in this though.

Quick read, and definitely a recommendation for anyone who already enjoys Junji Ito and this particular brand of horror. The monster is horrific, and is the only reason to read this story. The plot and the characters are not very interesting, especially Remina herself, who is basically just a doll that gets thrown between people who want to kill/rape/save her.

I read Junji Ito for the sense of dread and the horrifying artwork, which this accomplished. I really don't care for his plots and characters though, they mainly seems like filler so we can get back to the horror parts.
