Not as funny as Lake Silence. Very complex mystery, never confusing, though.
Moderate: Death, Gore, Injury/Injury detail, Murder, Panic attacks/disorders, Toxic relationship, Animal death, Blood, and Emotional abuse

If you've seen my list of previous titles, you know I pretty much like anything [a:Anne Bishop|26897|Anne Bishop|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1237258217p2/26897.jpg] decides to write. This was no exception, though I had a hard time remembering exactly what happened in [b:Lake Silence|35463752|Lake Silence (The World of the Others, #1; The Others, #6)|Anne Bishop|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1497821052l/35463752._SY75_.jpg|53651626] which you definitely should have read before reading this one (I do remember the gist of it... humans went crunch).
Like Vicky says: I enjoy scary if it isn't too scary. Which is exactly how I feel about this, despite the number of gory (mostly off scene) murders.
There's relationship development, the Bishop tropes are still around and overall humans keep being stooopid.
