The book wasn’t a challenging read. I read it fairly quickly. It did feel rather fast paced. I have a sort of neutral opinion of it. It wasn’t a bad story, it kept me engaged enough to read the whole thing. But it also wasn’t edge of my seat, captivating.
For me it was okay.
Alex is a sweetheart.
There were some parts where the FMC and MMC were just so wishy washy with their feelings. One sentence they hated each other and the next, they needed the other so badly.
Overall the story was alright.

✨Who knew the man I hated for two years would be the one to make me feel alive for the first time?✨

Wow! I enjoyed this book so much more than I was expecting. I've read a few books by Michelle Hercules, including the first in Hannaford U and there's always been something that slightly bothers me with them - a trope, the drama etc.
But, this book had everything I wanted and did it so well! I love all the enemies to lovers banter, their spice was just perfect and I just found it so satisfying! I love how we see so much of the side characters and there are a few of them that I can't wait to get to their stories - bring on the next one!

Play It Hard is Alex and Blair's story. Honestly, I did not enjoy this book as much as the first book in this series. The book was OK. I just couldn't get into this couple and I don't really know why. The plot had the potential to be more intense but felt rushed to me. I would have liked to learn more about the feud between Alex and Blair's family. I also wanted more on Cory. Although this book didn't hook me like the first, I will continue with the series.
