I couldn't finish it. The spelling and grammatical errors were too distracting and annoying. I don't understand how this author could be award winning.

I didn't know this author, but it was one of those dollar deals on Nook, so I took a chance.
So glad I did. This was a fast paced "travelogue" kinda of adventure/thriller (New York to L.A. to Burma, etc.). I kept "seeing" the action, and feel sure it's going to turn up as a big blockbuster movie at some point. It felt like a Bourne movie already.
The very basic premise (a kidnapping in exchange for oil drilling rights) is pretty far-fetched. But, just let your sense of disbelief go with that, and the rest is very fun and roller coaster-y.
I also enjoyed the hero being a hero out of responsibility and obligation - not any real desire or interest in being a hero. It made some of the dangerous situations have a more interesting layer.
I recommend it for a rainy day read - just curl up and spend the day with Logan - it'll be fun!
