This could have been an interesting story. The mystery and the forbidden romance. Unfortunately it was two brats sleeping together. The end. I could not care less what happens next.

First I have to say that I am not comfortable with the age of Cecelia West, the main heroine.
All in all it is ok and readable story that mix mystery suspense and romance.
I'm looking forward to read other work by the author

Wow! I loved this! The reasons for my love:
#1. It is hot and sexy
#2. The mystery - Who killed Ceci's dad??
#3. The writing - it is fast paced and I couldn't put it down. Also, written in dual POV
#4. I have no idea where this story is going to go and I can't wait to find out.
#5. The suspense
#6. The chemistry between Ceci and Bentley - very hot!

I can't wait for volume 2!

I'm still not sure about this new serial romance thing... Why break one book into 3 parts?! Anyhow I liked the base for the book and it was well written. I did feel as though she was a bit out of touch with what a 11 year old likes/does. Unless the flashbacks go further back then just the seven years.... Looking forward to reading Vol 2.

Sometimes I read something and get the feeling the author had an idea and without any research just threw a bunch of stuff together. There is nothing really plausible about this story, the "internship", the relationship etc. The whole way through I shook my head in disbelief hoping that the steamy scenes might at least make the rest worth it. Meh!!!

I liked the premise. The relationship between Bentley and Ceci bugs me just a tad bit, but I think it had more to do with lies and omission than the two characters together. I definitely look forward to the next volume. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Okay, the intern-boss thing where the heroine is not submissive at all and actual pretty confident and sassy might be a nice idea, but: No real descriptions of what really happens. The heroine is just acting pissed of with everyone, the same as the hero. The side characters are flat, the heroine seems to be the only one with a little bit of depth. The story goes way too fast and it seemed to me, that sex sells was the only writing motivation of the author. Also I get pretty angry when authors spread the message, that poking without protection for a few seconds won't get anyone pregnant. I hated it already with 50SoG. Some people might actually believe this because it happened in a book. Or the next big plot twist will be an unexpected pregnancy, who knows. When the writing is flat there is always enough petty drama to keep the story alive and the characters together. There were also so many things which where plain illogical to me.

I didn't look at the other reviews, so it might be only me with this kind of opinion. I couldn't relate at all and there were no rays of sunshine who helped me overlook the bad parts.
