It’s logical in itself - which is more than you can say for most Trek comics -, but after being almost through with the humble bundle, I just can’t stand this dark, war-ish comics anymore. I miss comics with fun Trek episodes. Character growth without trauma, exploring the unknown, bickering, ...
Guess if this had been the first comic I’d read, I would have given it more stars. But now I’m just tired of this dystopian crap and want MY Trek back. The hopeful, close to utopian post-communism.

This sure did a lot of grand, seemingly permanent stuff for random graphic novel. It was an entertaining read, but I don't think it served the characters well.

I dig into this more in the latest episode of the All the Books Show https://soundcloud.com/allthebooks/episode-197-soccer-books

After book #2, this felt like a bit of a letdown. It's was a step above fanfic, but seemed to have that kind of premise. "I like Picard, 7 of 9, Data, and Borg stories! What if..." The artwork was okay, but some of the character drawings were a little off. The classic comic was better than the previous, but still a touch heavy handed.

Moderately entertaining. I liked the incorporation of characters from more than just TNG. I really could have done without the Picard/Vash after-sex scene, which didn't really serve any purpose that couldn't have been served another way and only reminded me how they totally abandoned the Picard/Crusher romance that they'd started developing in the series and then I guess just lost interest in.

Thinking back, I think the Borg were scarier before they introduced the queen. That was a creative direction I didn't particularly like, and this story doesn't do anything to change my mind. Because Borg are basically a zombie horde. Add a queen and now they're not really zombies anymore, they're just the mindless minions of an evil genius mastermind. Which, to me, is a lot less scary.

Meh, so this was a decent read; glad I got it from the library instead of buying it. Not sure if this is supposed to fit into canon anywhere, since by the end
SpoilerAndoria, Cardassia, Betazed, and maybe Vulcan are either destroyed or assimilated, and in the end it completely destroys the Borg.
So probably not any kind of canon, then.
