I loved this book. There is far more to say about it than I can fathom in a review but I will say I adore Zelda’s authorial voice and I don’t CARE that people say it’s overwritten or badly edited, her mind is beautiful and I wish we had more of her words to read.

Zelda Fitzgerald's writing is undeniably beautiful and poetic, but the plot just wasn't there. The language is rich and descriptive, the characters and their actions often feel aimless and lacking in depth. The novel reads more like a collection of loosely connected vignettes than a cohesive narrative.
