A great end to a great series.
The only reason it loses a star is that it does get a little bogged down in the doom & gloom for a while but this didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying the series.
And even though it's finished there are definitely lots of loose ends which could turn into another series down the line.
I really liked how everything didn't tie up in a nice little bow, life is messy.
Black really came up with something new & fascinating in this series & although I wasn't mad keen on her fairy series I will definitely keep an eye out for more of her stuff in the future.

Holly Black knows how to write CHARACTERS. Wow wow wow. I love how Cassel’s trauma is weaves throughout all three books, and is never brushed off and impacts his decisions. This series is like a breath of fresh air- suspenseful with so many interesting twists and relationships.
I only wish there was just more of all the good things- more plot, more world-building. I just wanted to see more of the world beyond the school and Cassel’s house and a couple of parties.
This series is great though, highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique conman story with a bit of magic :)

This was the last book in the series, and for a last book, it was really good. There was not that much of action, which was okay, and not a real character story. I still enjoyed it, even if the ending was a little disappointing.
