Un récit captivant et terrifiant de réalisme qui ne nous laisse aucun répit !
J’ai adoré ce roman !
Les événements s’enchaînent implacablement et donnent à réfléchir sur l’état de notre société actuelle... Ce livre est aussi impeccablement documenté (même si l’auteur avoue avoir transformé quelques détails techniques pour ne pas donner trop d’infos à des gens mal intentionnés)
Les personnages principaux sont sympathiques, on les suit avec plaisir, même si certains passages m’ont paru un tout petit peu caricaturaux.
Un excellent « roman catastrophe ». Le genre qui nous fait apprécier les petites choses que l’ont oublie trop souvent. C’est fou comme j’apprécie d’avoir de l’électricité juste en appuyant sur un petit bouton depuis que j’ai refermé ce livre 😄

I liked it, but don't want to give it 4 stars (Goodreads really needs a 10 star rating system...), as, although it was well researched and the stories and different viewpoints were weaved together greatly, it still was too Cookie-Cutter hero based for my personal taste.
My personal opinion:
The overall story line took too long for me to be introduced, the descriptions of the smell of excrements was overused, the fortunately-reduced-to-a-minimum romance/attraction parts were cliché and sometimes even cringe worthy ("She was young enough to be his daughter..."), and the main character got himself out of dangerous situations too often with superhero like skills and knowledge.
The end on the other hand felt rushed and the second attack felt a little bit like an afterthought.
Nevertheless, an exciting and entertaining read.
I really liked the wide consideration of consequences that were brought to light in this book in such a scenario. It was very interesting in that regard and made me think, what would happen further and long-term in a situation like this.
I appreciate the thought experiment a lot and hopefully this fiction has reached the right minds, those who can make sure that our electricity networks won't be vulnerable and emergency plans are always accessible.

Příběh se mi moooc líbil! Při čtení jsem si začínala uvědomovat, jak moc jsem závislí na elektřině. Kdo má chuť se dočíst, co se stane, když ji mít nebudeme -> Blackout!
