I don't say this often but there may have been too much sex. The plot and characters really got lost and the plot had so much potential to be more interesting then it was. Sienna's connection to a dirty family without her knowledge as she unwillingly gets pulled in and protected by Elijah was a great start. But nothing really happened. Talk about anticlimax.

Summary

Siena Arnotto, is a young woman that was raised by her grandfather. Recently she has been starting to feel different. Her grandfather's right-hand man has been making her nervous even though she has known him since she was a teenager. Her grandfather asks her to send a friend of his a birthday gift of wine. When she arrives, it's Elijah Lospostos, a man she has always had a crush on. Upon her arrival into his home, heat succumbs them and they have passionate sex on his foyer floor. Suddenly an enemy arrives and attempts to kill Elijah and Elijah blames Siena in taking part of it and pushes her out the door. Shocked and uncertain, Siena returns home. Only to come home to be abused by her grandfather's right-hand man...the man her grandfather is trying to push her into marrying. Then her grandfather is murdered and she believes she knows who is at fault. So she flees in search of someone to protect her and runs into Elijah again. Only to find herself embracing her wild side of the leopard that has always been a part of her. She is attacked and practically mauled and Elijah steps in and saves the day. There are mixed emotions on both sides....but with Elijah and Siena living under the same room; neither of them can deny what they are feeling for each other.

The Hero

Elijah Lospostos didn't have the easiest of childhood. He was raised by a mob family....was taught how to handle a knife when he was a child and knew how to break a neck and kill someone at a young age. He was forced to do despicable things. He got out as soon as he could and formed an alliance with his friends and formed his elite business. Elijah is a hard man, he was shaped by the worst of the worst....but at the heart has still managed to become a loyal and honorable man. Elijah makes mistakes and his largest one is when it comes to Siena Arnotto. He has always held an attraction to Siena and is driven to claim her. Elijah was a hero that if you love Alpha Males....then you will fall madly in lust with him. He is dominating, controlling, possessive and jealous.
“Believe me, baby, you belong to me. I don’t give up what’s mine.”

He is stubborn but driven and determined. I really loved seeing his bond with his friends---Drake, Rafe, Joshua.

The Heroine

Siena Arnotto lost her parents and ended up being raised by her grandfather. She knows that she is loved by her grandfather, but was sent away to boarding school and hasn't seen much of his business. But now she has returned to live with him, and there are certain aspects that make her nervous and unsure. Her grandfather's right-hand man, Paolo, makes her nervous with his sexual sneers and looks that practically undress her. She can't stand to be around him and her grandfather expects her to marry him. But when the worst happens, and her grandfather is murdered...she is being hunted and her only salvation is her teenage crush Elijah Lospostos. Siena was a heroine that I liked reading for the most part but not completely. She is very sweet and nurturing, but she was a fighter at times. My only problem with her is I felt like she should have stood up to Elijah more. It quite didn't quite fit with who she is in the beginning and then how she is toward the end. I would have liked to see more backbone when it came to Elijah. What I loved about her was her sense of humor and her carefree and playfulness.

Plot and Story Line

Wild Cat is the latest addition to the Leopard People series. I will admit that even though I liked this one, it had the same tone that the previous book had. I will say that the first few books of the series are still my favorite. But I did enjoy reading this one way more than Cat's Lair but I will warn you that it has a more erotic feel to it than an actual romance which is the theme for the whole series. They are probably the most erotic books this author has ever written. And even though this aspect has bothered me a bit....there is still some great aspects to this book that I enjoyed.

In Wild Cat, we have Elijah's story....Elijah is a character we have seen in most of the books of the series so it was great to finally have his book. Although I will say that Joshua is the one character I am most looking forward to. What was really most thrilling about this story, was seeing the suspense side of things. We have our villain "Paolo" who is one scary dude. Like honestly he should be shredded into tiny pieces. He was one horrible character, and even though he makes a great villain I would never want him to be real. He is one evil man and it is heartbreaking with what he does to Siena. She is one tough cookie though when it comes to him. She stands up to Paolo even when she knows it may cost her dearly.

The friendship between the friends especially Drake and Rafe is pretty sweet and we see them and their wives into the story. It was fabulous to see their bond to each other and get a revisit with these couples and their children. My favorite is Drake and Emma and their interactions with each other and the group of friends. It was quite fun to see Joshua (who we see quite a bit of in Savage Nature) and I am hoping we see more of him in future books.

The romance between these two is blazing hot but is mixed in with some sweet and poignant moments. Moments of heartbreak, forgiveness and true emotion.
I live in Hell, Siena. That's my world and I have no fucking right to drag you down with me, but I can't stop myself. You're the one thing in my life that's worth anything. I can't let go of you, no matter how much I know I should. I'm not that strong. You are innocent and beautiful. Your body is. Your mind is. Your heart and soul. You gave yourself to me, Siena. You chose me and I'm going to do everything in my power, with everything that I am, to protect you. To cherish you.

A passionate adventure to savor!!

The Cover

I really like the leopard effect that it shows on here. It unique and different and even though I am not a fan of the model since in the book she CAN't have straight hair...its long and full of waves. But I love any cover with felines in it especially those gorgeous big cats.

Overall View

Wild Cat is a sensually woven romance that will keep the blood pumping in suspense, your heart rate up with the sexual tension and will give you thrills and chills down the spine in every moment in between!! SIZZLING AND ACTION PACKED!!

SpoilerSpoiler: I am pretty excited that Siena is having triplets....and let's just say I hope they are all girls just to torture Elijah just a bit hehe

Christine Feehan is one of my favorite paranormal romance authors and I have read all her series. I like her Leopard Series and her Carpathian Series is still my favorite.

Having met Elijah Lospostos in previous books I was looking forward to his book. Lots of adrenaline pumping excitement. I know a lot of people left not very great reviews but yet again this was a book I couldn't put down I loved it so much. I highly recommend it.

Siena Arnotto has been in love with Elijah Lospostos since she was 15 years old.

Now older and finished with scool after getting her masters degree she is back home.

Her grandfather sends her on an errand to deliver a case of wine to Elijah as a late birthday present. One look between them and the heat quickly turns up. Siena thought she had just made love (given her virginity) to the man she loved, until he says saying derogatory things to her and throws her out of his home naked. He believed she was there to distract him so someone could sneak in and kill him.

That same night her grandfather is assassinated and with her leopard appearing, she seeks help from Jake Bannaconni. She wants him to contact Drake Donovan, a security expert met in previous books. Unknown to Siena, Elijah works for Drake.

Elijah is the only one who can help her, however after what he did to her and the attack that happened to her later, she doesn't trust him and doesn't want him anywhere near her.

Siena and Elijah find they have to rely on their animal instincts for survival, while also dealing with a desire for each other that is so strong and it won't be denied. Siena is his mate, and he isn't letting her go.

The chemistry between Siena and Elijah is so hot and the sex scenes are so heated you are left breathless.

As with all the main male characters in this series, Elijah is a dominant male and seriously OTT protective and jealous. When his dominant side comes out, which is often, Siena shows she will do whatever he wants to a certain degree, while at the same time standing up for herself.

This is my third time reading this series of books and there will be many more re-reads in future.

In ‘Wild Cat’ we meet Siena Arnotto. Siena has lived a very sheltered life. She has been in boarding school for as long as she can remember and the days she was able to leave school were spent with her loving grandfather. But there have always been a lot of secrets, and Siena has always felt alone. When Siena’s grandfather asks her to deliver a bottle of their best wine, to Elijah, she doesn’t expect that her life will change forever. But it really does.
Siena and Elijah have a powerful connection and Elijah is not willing to ever let Siena go. Even if that means he has to force her.

The characters in this book are very intriguing. For one we have Siena, a young woman who has lived her life under the protection of her grandfather. She is beautiful, smart but also very naïve. I mean.. Thinking her grandfather is only in the wine business, while he needs to be surrounded by big masculine bodyguards.. Yep definitely naïve. In the beginning during her conversations with Elijah, she also seemed very tame, but I loved how her temper came up near the end of the book.
Elijah is tough as nails on the outside. There has been stories about his family for a long while, and he seems to be living up to this reputation. But when he is near Siena, he becomes a very different man. He still has a bad temper, and is controlling as hell.. but he definitely is sexy and sweet.

This story was definitely a nice read but it’s not a very ‘good’ story. Don’t get me wrong, I loved reading this book but the most part was about the sexy scenes between Siena and Elijah and them getting to know each other. And although they were good to read about, in the end they began to feel like too much. There wasn’t much of an underlying story.
And just like with the other Leopard series book I read, the man are just too arrogant. I would have been a very bad woman to these Leopard man.

Overall this story was fun, sweet and definitely sexy. I liked the connection between Siena and Elijah and the way they definitely loved each other. But if you’re in need for a good fantasy story with a lot of thrilling moments.. this one is not for you.

Too much manipulation/guilt-tripping for my taste. The introduction of Alonzo was the best part.

I like to continue reading series that I have begun, normally. This is what prompted me to pre-order this book. However, I am getting pretty tired of formulaic writing so I may need to stop being so loyal.

This novel followed pretty much the same basic plot as the previous: damsel in distress, surprise - she's a shifter, strong man in need of reform helps out, they're mates, man protects damsel, damsel is struggling with the amount of protection, damsel is pregnant, man is more protective, they have a talk, problems all solved, all happy.

Hate to say it, but these are getting repetitive... Same / Similar plots and issues... Sex galore and characters who spend a lot of time talking in circles while saying the same thing over and over and over again.
