This might be my favorite book by this author. It was fun to listen to. I love those narrators! It was cleverly written. Cora and Leo were both interesting, loyal, and earnest.

This exceeded my expectations. I absolutely love the world building, the Underworld was realistic and believable. I haven't read anything like this and it grabbed my attention from the beginning. Cora unearths secrets as she adjusts to her role. I was able to connect with both Cora and Leo, their struggles and pain were relatable.

Despite the shorter length and fast pace, the story feels complete and not rushed.

Steve West and Katharine McEwan narrated the story perfectly. They really added to the story and bringing the characters to life.

This isn’t my go-to genre, but I honestly enjoyed this book! It’s a quick read but has lots of twists and turns.
