Only part I liked was the Damian story and even that has wonky Mike S Miller art.

Loved all 40 issues of it (plus the Annual)! I mean, I may say this is better than the mainstream DCU post-Rebirth, right?
But alas, it's the Injustice Universe, and I can call it apples and oranges.

This was actually a pretty fun read again!
We got into year 5 and with the release of the villains, the regime are rounding villains up and we have Clark fight Doomsday who has returned and to aid him, we have Bane and we see where that alliance goes and meanwhile Batman has teamed up with the Rogues and their plan is to hit the bases of the regime on some day to take them down and inspire revolution among people. Then the stuff with Bane vs Selina happens and both the teams clash there but the big thing is the coming of BIZZARO and his unlikely new friend: The Trickster! Also there is a ch. with Hawkman which was a bit out of character for him.
Its a volume with such crazy moments and allying with villains just shows that both heroes are far gone and just wanna take the other down no matter what with lines crossed and yeah the thing with Doomsday and Grundy was quick but we see darker plans that Superman has for them and his regime is losing confidence in him like with Lex and Victor which makes for a great story and the stuff with Bizarro is so fun like its just crazy fights and fun moments and leads to a great volume overall, excited to keep reading ahead! Plus the art is geting better with every volume.

I guess I should have seen this coming, but it still somehow took me by surprise. I'm not a huge Bizarro fan, I think he is a little silly and annoying, and I really didn't think this comic would go there...but they did....and it was just as silly and annoying as I thought it would be.
This story is just getting a little bit out of control as it feels like the entire cast of DC characters will be wormed into the story in order to stretch out this concept.
Aside from the Bizarro story line we have both Team Bats and the Regime adding villains to their ranks. We see that Flash and Green Lantern are total jerks and just let Superman order them around. I can't tell what is worse, the fact that they disagree with Superman but go along with him anyways, or characters like Cyborg that don't even question him.

Moving away from obscure ridiculous constant gods and magical beings, this gets back to the core of what made Injustice great and interesting. Honestly you could skip years 3 + 4 and not miss much, just jump to here.
I do wonder what is left for Batman to try at this point in the struggle, but the volume touches and hints at his plans.
