I enjoyed this regency scene in Bath. It felt like an Austen extension. The characters were well developed, in my opinion, though the plot wasn't complex. Fun, quick read.

One of my mother's favorite authors, and I enjoyed her writing also. Standard plos in most of her gothic romance books, but she writes with humor and historical specificity.

This was so fun. I've never loved a couple more, everyone was fun and hilarious, and the ending for once didn't feel rushed!

I like Annis, but meh on Carleton and his ~rakishness~ and ~brutality~. You can't read too many Heyers about rakes in a row, because you really start questioning why it should be a point in a dude's favour that he only ~ruins~ girls of a certain class/quality, but not proper women. :/ There also wasn't really enough, um, plot? Carleton and Annis both seem to realise they like each other just like that. It's nice to tie that moment of epiphany into something happening!

This was excellent! As good as Venetia, with very endearing repartee between Annis and Oliver.
