it was refreshing to read about an experience so similar to my own. i liked some poems more than others, but i feel that this is so vital to trans people like myself.

Some of poems are hard-hitting and exquisite (“Letter to my vagina” and “The man I am tries to take the girl I was through airport security” to name a few), but the majority feels like they’re a rewrite or two away from Walser’s full potential.
Would love to read a new recent collection to see how he has evolved.
