I enjoyed this story, but think I would have liked it better in print.  The multiple characters (3 main characters in two timelines) and narrators made it a bit hard to follow on audio.

The book was very easy to read and I just flew through it. It had me hooked from the start. It has dark themes, but is incredibly magical and mysterious. I loved not being able to predict everything. The story really kept it interesting and tense. 
It is absolutely perfect for a cosy winter evening.

Though a quick read, I found the characters to be very one dimensional and the writing lacking. The author applies the 'tell don't show' style resulting in a book that feels rushed and doesnt allow for much emotional development it's trying to portray. A nice idea but sloppy execution.
